Description
OSB (oriented strand board) is made from long, thin wood strands laid in oriented layers and hot-pressed with resin. Orienting the strands gives the board consistent load-bearing strength. TS EN 300 defines OSB/2 for load-bearing use in dry conditions and OSB/3 for humid conditions.
OSB is widely used to sheathe timber and steel roofs, for subfloors and wall panels, and for site hoarding. It cuts and drills with standard woodworking tools and fixes easily with nails or screws. Large sheets cover wide areas with fewer joints.
Kemer Demir keeps OSB in packs at its covered warehouse in Kuzdere and supplies it wholesale or retail. Packs are loaded onto vehicles with an overhead crane. The steel profiles, membranes and screws needed for roof work are available from the same warehouse.
