Description
A UPN channel is a hot-rolled U-section structural steel member with tapered inner flange faces. Its flat back makes it easy to weld or bolt to other members.
UPN channels are used for beams and purlins, stair stringers, platform and mezzanine frames, and trailer and machine chassis. Welding two channels flange-to-flange to form a box column is also common practice.
We stock UPN channels in a range of section heights and standard lengths. Long, heavy sections are loaded onto vehicles with the overhead crane in our warehouse, and we also take on steel application and contracting work.
