Product Information

Description

Roof battens are slim timber strips fixed at set spacings, and the roof covering is fastened onto them. Sawn timber covers larger sections such as rafters, joists and planks, and is the main material of a timber roof structure.

Battens are used to fix tiles and tile-effect steel sheets, as sub-structure under steel and shingle roofs, for formwork and for general building needs. Battens laid at the correct spacing help the covering sit evenly and hold firm in the wind.

We stock roof battens and timber alongside our roofing products, including trapezoidal and tile-effect steel sheets. That lets you source your roofing materials from one supplier, wholesale or retail.
